Coronavirus: Shut factories, offices, other units till Mar 31: KCC&I to people | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 21 (KNO): Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I) Saturday appealed owners of factories, offices, hotels and shops without essential commodities to remain shut till March 31 2020. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), President KCC&I, Sheikh Ashiq, said, “I know that due to Corona (COVID19) virus, the situation is becoming worst nowadays and you all are well aware of the news that is coming from all over the world.” “In China, Europe and America after wreaking havoc, this deadly corona (COVID19) is showing very fast effect in India. Developed countries like China, Europe and America have surrender themself and not be able to stop it and this situation can be very frightening if the population of over 1.2 crores in J&K where we have limited means and we are not yet fully equipped to control this Pandemic if it spreads as it did in China, Iran, America and Europe,” he said. “Keeping in view the above circumstances I think that as Kashmir Inc and responsible citizens, it is our moral duty to protect the health, of our families and the employees working under us,” he added. “Therefore, I request you humbly to keep your factories, offices, hotels and shops without essential commodities shut at least till March 31 and stay home and observe complete civil curfew to save precious lives,” President said. “With these above sentiments, I appeal you once again in the interest of society, please ensure stay home stay safe, be hero’s of your beloved nation,” President KCCI Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad said–(KNO)
